I thought here in the crystal bear it would be nice to add some stories about myself and crystals. At certain times in my life I have found certain crystals have linked to a moment in my life. It's a really nice way of remembering beautiful moments as you look at a crystal and memories come flooding back. Just click on the sub menus that have opened on the left to read about my crystal moments. I have also included a a overview of crystals on this page as a quick guide which I will be continually updating.

Blue agate: agate can bring you good health and fortune into your life. Full of natural energy agate helps to increase your self confidence while balancing your emotions.

Amazonite: this crystal can help soothe emotions, prevent self damage, increase confidence and surround the user with a positive energy that radiates outwards to other people. Such a calming stone it washes away worries on the mind replacing with new hope and a feeling it can be done. A crystal of truth that when in communication with others you find nothing is hidden so the true meanings of all, giving fair negotiations to all parties.

Amazonite: can assist with many conditions from cell regeneration to gout. Can ease the pain caused by arthritis; strengthen hair aiding preventing hair loss. This crystal can give you the freedom to expand while setting the boundaries so you don't drift too far if you lose your way. Crystal structure is triclinic.

Amber: amber helps to connect with light and warmth so gives you the wonderful feeling like walking under the sun on a beach without a care in the world. Amber is beneficial to people recovering from illness or injuries as in allow us to tap into our vast wells of inner strength to get well again. Amber helps those who suffer from seasonal affective disorder or depression from the lack of sunlight, helps people who are sensitive, increases energy levels and can give the body a cleansing that it needs. Amber is made from fossilized natural botanic resins and can contain plant material or fossil insects.

Amethyst: the crystal that can bring a new beginning into your life. A spiritual stone which is great for use in healing, meditation, cleansing and to bring its energizing properties into your life. Amethyst is a great crystal to use to relieve stress and tension from our day to day life. Sleep with a piece of amethyst under your pillow at night for a peaceful sleep filled with insightful dreams.

Ametrine: bringing amethyst and citrine together in one beautiful stone. Allow this crystal to bring well being into your life. Great for creativity, balance in your life and facing challenges head on.

Angelite: this crystal can help overcome insecurity and help give up obsessions. Angelic communication as the name suggests, can attune to your guardian angels. A crystal to aid you in communication filled with peace and understanding it's great in times of conflict. A very feminine crystal this stone is full of love and gentleness.

Aventurine: this crystal brings a bit of cheer into your life as it is a very happy stone. Helps you to face challenges in life head on, with a sense of calmness as it eases nervousness and stress. Can aid you in giving you a good night sleep.

Aquamarine:  a crystal that can be carried as a talisman to bring the keeper good luck in life. A very cleansing crystal, allow, it to wash over you and allow yourself to unwind and relax.

Black onyx: the onyx crystal can give the user inner strength and willpower. It aids concentration so useful for students or anyone needing assistance where concentration is required. Allowing you a discipline to stay focused and gets the task done.

Orange onyx: has same traits as black onyx and can also benefit logic by bringing our serious side to the front.

Bloodstone: as the name of this crystal suggests the bloodstone crystal is great for all things to do with the blood. Bloodstone bonds with the body to give you great strength within and without.

Honey calcite: a crystal that gives you a new found confidence to tackle life head on with more focused energy and mental clarity. This crystal is a perfect stone to use whilst a work to build on your energy levels when needed and this crystal also gives the ability to restful periods when available. This crystal can be a teacher of the use of power so not as to abuse it to the harm of others, while benefiting yourself, those close or you come into contact with. Can be a comfort and an aid to those people that in their life have suffered abuse, helps also with the feeling of been overwhelmed and bring a positive feel about what life can bring. The structure of the crystal is rhombohedra.

Carnelian: the crystal of action it can help manifest your dreams and goals. Carnelian gives you belief in yourself and the courage to do anything in life you choose. Helps ease the after effects from drug and alcohol addictions to help you move on.

Cat's eye: a translucent crystal man made in various colours all of which have a silver to white light rippling over them, this light moves in waves across the surface of the crystal at the slightest movement making it a calming crystal to hold in moments of tension and stress as the colours and waves make it very relaxing to the eye.

Citrine: bring a bit of pure sunshine into your life with the citrine crystal. Filled with pure energy can bring wealth and fortune into your life. Place in your purse or wallet to help your finances or your house to bring the wealth of friends and family into your home.

Emerald: emerald crystals are full of joy and benefit in that they give you that feel good feeling, bestowing love and kindness to others, a crystal of abundance can make an excellent healer. As this is a crystal to bring happiness it can lift depression, use at night to help cure insomnia and give peaceful dreams. The name comes from the Greek (smaragdos) meaning green stone, as its colour suggests using on the heart in healing is perfect in crystal lay outs and the energies will flow through the body. An emotional healer allows trust, allowing you to give and receive in equal measures a crystal for the heart. Emerald crystals structure is a variety of beryl and hexagonal (trigonal)

Fluorite: the fluorite crystal helps remove all the clutter from life. Helps you think clearly so you can concentrate on the now and move forward. Gives you the mental clarity and concentration to form, structure your work or studies. Clears the mind allowing you to focus on what's important to you and not others.

Hawks eye: again this crystal is like the tiger's eye crystal with a beautiful blue/grey even green colour to it. Allowing you to see the bigger picture and step out of the box, with clear vision life becomes brighter. This is a truth seeing crystal and shows the truth about you, you may wish hidden but is best faced, used in negotiations can be a powerful tool. A member of the quartz family this crystals structure is hexagonal (trigonal)

Hematite: a grounding crystal to bring stability into life when you feel it crumbling around you. If you have had problems of the blood our liver this crystal can aid you in recovery. In adversity it is the bringer of strength and courage, it's a very powerful stone to help power you.

Howlite: placed under the pillow at night can give the user a good nights sleep.

Jasper: the jasper crystal gives you the strength and stamina at times when you are low and really need them. Helps to support recovery from illness that has made you weak from deep within and outwards to the physical body. A great crystal for sports as generates muscle tissue.

Labradorite: a crystal of magic as you look deep inside a shower of colours play out from it, you find yourself drawn in to the inner beauty of the crystal and also yourself. The magic's that it unleashes are the powers that we all have within to achieve our full potentials. A crystal to unlock our intuitive abilities from clairvoyance, psychic reading, spiritual awakening to a voyage of self discovery where you are in control of an inner ship capable of weathering any storms you throw at yourself. We are all full of light and many colours and this crystal can be a reflection of you showing you the answers you seek. On a physical level it can bring out an inner strength, a deeper sense of insight within and the sight to understand and relate to others. Larimar: like a wash of cool water this crystal calms, cools, and soothes the body, full of feminine power brings confidence with a touch of humour thrown into the mix that aids communication with others. A crystal that is very beneficial to the throat, aiding the voice of singers and public speakers, unleashes the inner voice of wisdom bringing calm to tempers. A lovely crystal to carry, place around the home or work to aid peace and tranquillity, can aid blood pressure, stress and is a wonderful help during times of cold and flu.

Moldavite: Moldavite is known as a tektite which comes from a Greek word tektos, meaning molten. Moldavite itself derives from the area in which it is found, near the Moldau River, called Vltava in Czech. Moldavite fell to earth about 15 million years ago when a giant meteorite struck the earth sending this very special and unique stone out into the surrounding area. No one seems to be able to quite work out exactly how it was formed, but it seems to be due to the heat on impact off the meteorite changing the surrounding rocks by the way of fusion. Moldavite is an activation crystal allowing you to go into deeper meditations and bringing deeper insights.

Moonstone: representing the energies of the moon, moonstone can enhance dreams and emotions allowing you to release and bring out the gentler you. Moonstone is a crystal of patience, assisting with communication with your spirit guides.

Mahogany obsidian: break through the limitations that your mind and body trap you in. This crystal is full of strength to allow anything holding you back to be brushed aside so you can achieve your full potential.

Snowflake obsidian: turns the bad in your life into good, releasing the problems that hold us back in life. Gives an insight into what needs to be done and how you can achieve this. Allows the body to heal itself, getting rid of the "why me?" feeling that we sometimes feel.

Gold sheen obsidian: a lovely crystal that gives us insights into our inner power and how to use it for the good of ourselves and others. Good for digestion disorders, ulcers and problems of the stomach. The gold sheen obsidian crystal can give you a clearer picture of the world we live in and the path ahead.

Petrified wood: the wood has been replaced with stone so only the imprint of the wood remains. Petrified wood is a supportive crystal and encourages steady growth giving strength to the body. A wonderful supportive crystal for physical healing and cleansing the liver and blood.

Quartz crystal: quartz comes in many forms and easily adapts too many forms of healing. Quartz is the master healer of all the crystals and quartz points can help to amplify the properties of other crystals.

Rainbow obsidian: a crystal to calm the heart in times of stress, finding hope instead of despair. Find all the different layers to yourself and enjoy all the beautiful light that shines out from you as you find them. Helps to recover from emotional wounds after times of darkness allowing you to see the light at the end.

Rhodochrosite: the name Rhodochrosite comes from the Greek word for its rose/red colour. This crystal allows you to love yourself and the others around you bringing the true you to the surface. Can help heal your heart from emotional wounds and trauma.

Crackle quartz: started its life as clear quartz, the crackle quartz crystal has been heated and dyed various colours. It's a crystal full of fun and joy filling you full of energy for various activities in your life. Can aid people with diabetes and help people love how they are? Crystal structure is hexagonal (trigonal).

Rose quartz: rose quartz crystals are full of love for everything and everyone it touches. Can be an aid in attracting love and life partner. When given as a gift it spreads its love into the world as it's a loving and happy crystal. Rose quartz is a gentle healer and is a comforting crystal to hold in times of illness and hurt.

Smoky quartz: the smoky quartz crystal has to be one of the main crystals to ground you after deep meditations, crystal work, if you're a spacey type of individual, allowing you to come back into yourself. Smoky quartz crystals colour comes from natural irradiation but can also be made using the natural quartz crystal and treating it with radium or x-rays. This crystal can give the user protection from negativity, clears the mind and body allowing you to come in contact with spiritual frequencies, allow you to feel part of the world in which we live and break free of it when we choose. Ruby: a crystal that can energize, give optimism, break through the obstructions put before us in life, aid moving forward from feelings of stuck in a rut. Selenite: the crystal of expansion. Allows you to let go more easily on a physical and emotional level, can lift your awareness of inner experiences and put you in contact with guides be it animal, spiritual or an angel guide. Gives you a clearer picture of where you are in life allowing you to move past your comfort zone onto bigger brighter future and can remove inner blockages to give your energies the space to be free. The selenite crystal is a hydrous calcium sulphate mineral.

Sapphire: this is a crystal that can keep you safe from harm, breaks limitations, protects you from dishonesty and can give you self discipline. Turquoise: turquoise crystals aid communication in bringing out the wisdom deep inside you. The crystal of truth allowing the user to speak true and receive honesty in return.

Unakite: the Unakite crystal works on the heart chakra and is best used on follow up work after using other crystals on this chakra, as it works with its array of green and pink colours working in perfect harmony balancing the heart. Strengthening the heart building a foundation for growth and support so we can move forward, can help during pregnancy to keep you healthy and works with the reproductive organs.
