CITRINE
As you gaze upon citrine you are drawn into it. It is like sunlight which has being captured and turned into this inspiring crystal. It illuminates light from it creating joy and sending warmth around it. It is part of the quartz family and its structure is hexagonal. Most forms of citrine are artificial and are really amethyst which has been heat treated to create citrine. To me this is just an imitation of a truly special stone. Natural citrine is just beautiful and a joy to own. Its colour is due to the presence of colloidal iron hydrates in it. Natural citrine is rare and a little more difficult to find but it’s out there. When you find some treat it like the treasure it is. Citrine brings wealth to the holder. Place a piece in the farthest back left point from your front door of your house. If you like it in a particular room place it in the top left of the room. It attracts abundance aiding success, prosperity and wealth; it loves to share and encourages you to do the same, but also helps you to keep hold of your new prosperity.
Above are some shots of some citrine generators I am lucky to own. Generators have six points that meet as one point at the top. These are great amplifiers of crystal energy. On a table you use for meditation, place your crystals and underneath place a generator. Try both methods with and without and see the difference. Using a generator with groups is particularly good as it increases energy in the room.
Citrine loves happiness, bringing sunshine to you. It attracts abundance of all types not just financial. It will raise your self esteem and with it your confidence. Like the flow of sunlight it will help ease you through life with a gentle light always around you. You will feel positive, creative and full of motivation. Your creative side will flourish. While using citrine I have found myself wanting to express myself more. I have started making things craft wise and began painting. For me this is strange because at school I never took to art. One memorable experience: I had been in one art lesson where you had to choose an object to paint. In the middle of vases of flowers, bowls of fruit and other mundane things I found a huge quartz cluster. I was instantly drawn to it, if only then I realised what was drawing me to crystals I wouldn’t have lost so many years to these wonderful gifts from earth. Incidentally I thought I had created my best piece of work and a future masterpiece but I failed. I had used a ruler to draw the quartz points which in art is a big no no. I wanted perfection when all I had to do was go with the flow, like working with all crystals.
Citrine does not need cleansing as in itself it’s a natural cleanser, but it is still advisable just to give it a helping hand. After all it gives to you it deserves to have love and care bestowed upon it to give it something back. It is known to protect the aura, which is good for people who feel their personal space being violated if people get too close to them. It boosts the power from within allowing you to be more comfortable in crowed spaces. Since it protects the aura it acts as an early warning system of any potential danger, thus allowing you to take the necessary action. It clears blockages from the body and encourages mental and emotional clarity. Citrine improves your memory, be it short-term or long-term. Being full of sunshine it is good for people who suffer from depression. On the chakras it can be used to detoxify them all. It opens the solar plexus. Placed on the crown chakra it opens the intuition. It increases blood circulation, detoxifies blood, helps menstrual problems and the symptoms of menopause. If you suffer from tiredness this will awaken you again. Other things it is good for are the digestive system, bowel, liver, bladder, stomach tension.
